Starbond was founded in 1988 and has been supplying industrial grade cyanoacrylate adhesives (CA) for industries such as woodturning, dental lab, paleontology, lapidary, screen printing, and 3D rapid prototyping. As one of the most reliable suppliers of super glue, we believe in Total Quality Management. Starbond adhesives have been manufactured in Japan for over 45 years, and each new batch of CA goes through extensive testing to meet strict quality standards.
The project involved migrating an existing e-commerce store from Magento to Shopify with the goal of improving performance, simplifying store management, and increasing overall conversion rate. The client required a fully custom solution that would preserve SEO value, support future scaling, and provide a smooth experience for both customers and administrators.
What was done
Migrated the store from Magento to Shopify, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during the transition.
Developed a custom Shopify theme from scratch, fully aligned with the brand identity and UX requirements.
Installed and configured essential third-party and custom apps to support payments, marketing, and store operations.
Provided post-migration support, including bug fixes, performance improvements, and technical guidance for the client.
Implemented SEO optimizations to maintain search engine rankings and improve organic visibility after migration.
Optimized key user flows and checkout experience to increase conversion rate and reduce friction.
As a result, the store was successfully launched on Shopify with improved performance, a modern and flexible codebase, and a more intuitive shopping experience. The migration reduced operational complexity for the client while creating a solid foundation for future growth, marketing experiments, and further conversion optimization.

Polar Bear Commerce delivered good work on this migration project from Magento 2 to Shopify and I enjoyed working with them.Their skills and communication met our expectations and needs.
