Whether you want to run a classic Buy One Get One (BOGO) offer, a spend-based gift ("Spend $50, get a free tote bag"), or a Buy X Get Y promotion, Auto Add To Cart Gifts handles it all automatically — no theme code edits, no developer needed.
Why We Built It
We work with Shopify merchants every day and free-gift-with-purchase is one of the most requested promotional mechanics. It's proven to increase average order value, reward loyal customers, and drive conversions during key sales periods.
Most existing solutions are either expensive, overly complex, or slow down your storefront. We wanted to build something lean, fast, and completely free.
What Auto Add To Cart Gifts Does
Two Delivery Modes — For every rule you can choose to either automatically add the gift to the cart silently (zero friction for the customer), or show a popup so the customer can see and confirm their gift. Both modes work out of the box.
Three Ready-to-Use Templates — each with the same clean settings layout: a rule name, conditions, actions, and pricing rules.
Based on cart amount
— triggers when the cart total exceeds a set value (e.g. $120). You can also add an upper limit to cap the offer within a price range.
Based on cart items count
— triggers when the number of items in the cart exceeds a set quantity (e.g. 5 items). Also supports an optional upper limit.
Based on specific products
— triggers when particular products are added to the cart. You pick exactly which products act as the condition trigger.
For every template, you choose between two actions: automatically add the gift product to the cart silently, or show a popup letting the customer pick their gift. You then set pricing rules — by default the gift is 100% off (completely free), and you can optionally enable free shipping on top.

Open the app and click Create new rule
Choose your rule type — based on cart amount, cart items count, or specific products
Go to settings, pick your gift product and configure the trigger conditions
Do to the dashboard and enable the app
Save and go live — the gift auto-adds to cart immediately
